Education
We believe education is one of God's greatest gifts for helping individuals, families, and communities flourish. It opens doors to opportunity, nurtures God given potential, and equips the next generation to serve their families, churches, and communities with wisdom, skill, and integrity.
At Kolej Bon Samariten (The Good Samaritan School), we partner with parents, teachers, local businesses, and community leaders to create a safe, Christ centered learning environment where students grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and civically. Through personalized instruction, culturally rooted education, and meaningful relationships, we prepare students to become the leaders God is calling them to be. The leaders who will strengthen Haiti while honoring the beauty, resilience, and rich heritage of the Haitian people.

MOTHER TONGUE
Through a partnership with Let's Go Boys and Girls of Baltimore, Maryland, students at Kolej Bon Samariten are discovering the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and robotics. This hands-on program encourages students to ask questions, solve problems, think creatively, and explore how the world God created works.
More than teaching technical skills, STEM education cultivates curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence. As students design, build, and experiment together, they develop the knowledge and character needed to become thoughtful innovators, servant leaders, and lifelong learners who will help strengthen Haiti's future.

PAPIYON (SPECIAL EDUCATION)
We believe every child is created in the image of God, uniquely gifted, and worthy of the opportunity to learn, grow, and flourish. Yet in Haiti, far too many children with disabilities never have the chance to attend school. Misunderstandings about disability, combined with the effects of trauma and malnutrition, often leave children without the support they need to reach their potential.
Recognizing this need, we created Papiyon—Haitian Creole for "butterfly"—a specialized learning program that celebrates the unique strengths of every child. Through individualized learning plans, trauma-informed care, and the support of highly trained teachers and psychologists, students receive the encouragement, instruction, and compassion they need to thrive. Like a butterfly emerging with new strength and beauty, our prayer is that every child in Papiyon will discover their God-given gifts and flourish within their family, school, and community.
SECONDARY SCHOOL PROGRAMS

COLLEGE PREP
Our College Prep Program builds on the strong academic foundation established in primary school, preparing students for Haiti's national baccalaureate exam and the opportunities that follow. Through rigorous academics, personalized guidance, and intentional mentoring, students are equipped to pursue higher education, vocational training, or other meaningful pathways that align with their God given gifts and aspirations.
Each student receives an individualized academic and career plan designed to help them explore future possibilities, prepare for entrance exams, understand application requirements, and make informed decisions about what comes next. Our goal is not simply to help students graduate, but to equip them with the knowledge, confidence, and character to take their next step with purpose and to become the leaders God is calling them to be.

ENGLISH FLUENCY
While Haitian Creole and French are Haiti's official languages, English proficiency is becoming an increasingly valuable skill for higher education, employment, and global engagement. That's why we begin with a strong academic foundation in Haitian Creole while intentionally developing fluency in English through classroom instruction and immersion opportunities for both students and teachers.
Students also study French and Spanish, equipping them with multilingual communication skills that broaden educational and career opportunities while preparing them to engage confidently in an increasingly connected world. By honoring their native language while embracing additional languages, students are equipped to serve both their local communities and the wider world.

VOCATIONAL INTEGRATION
We believe every student has unique gifts, and every vocation has dignity. While many of our graduates pursue university studies, others discover a passion for skilled trades that provide meaningful opportunities to serve their communities and support their families.
Our Vocational Integration Program introduces secondary school students to a variety of skilled trades, helping them discover their strengths, explore career possibilities, and make informed decisions about their future. Whether a student chooses higher education or vocational training, our goal is the same, to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue meaningful work, strengthen their communities, and become the leaders God is calling them to be.
KAV VOCATIONAL PROGRAM

KAV VOCATIONAL PROGRAM
In partnership with Extollo International, we established KAV Vocational School to provide high quality, Christ centered training in the skilled trades. Through hands-on instruction and mentorship, students gain practical experience in electricity, masonry, plumbing, and other essential trades that prepare them for meaningful employment and lifelong careers.
This partnership equips students to discover and develop their God-given talents while helping meet critical workforce needs in Haiti. In addition to serving our students, KAV Vocational School welcomes members of the surrounding community, creating opportunities for individuals and families to build sustainable livelihoods, strengthen the local economy, and serve their communities with excellence.
HIGHER EDUCATION

CONTINUING EDUCATION
For most of our students, continuing their education beyond high school would simply not be possible without the generosity of our donors. Today, we have three students studying in Cuba—two training to become doctors and one studying dentistry—all with the intention of returning to Haiti to care for their communities. We also have three additional students enrolled in universities locally in Haiti. Opportunities like these are incredibly rare, and it is a profound blessing for these young men and women to pursue higher education and prepare for careers that will strengthen the future of Haiti.
